How we check our information

Every fact on Treatacross has a source, a date it was checked, and a review date. Clinic websites are never a source.

Where the facts come from

The facts live in data files, not in the page code: each treatment, each destination and each home country has its sources, the date each source was checked and a date by which it must be checked again. Past that date, the fact is flagged for review.

We never use clinic websites, clinic-funded "guides", agencies or review sites as a source.

Prices

We publish a price range only when we can source it independently of the clinics. So far only South Korea publishes official prices (the government's disclosure of what each clinic charges for uninsured treatments, such as implants); elsewhere the true cost tool works from the written quotes you receive. Exchange rates are the European Central Bank's reference rates (last update 2026-10-23).

Registers

For each destination we list the official online registers of doctors, dentists and clinics that we could open and use. When we found none, we say so rather than point to an unofficial list.

How the tools work

The tools run in your browser: nothing you enter is stored or sent.

Keeping it current

Official sources are re-read on a schedule, and changes go to a human review before anything on the site changes. Data last built 2026-10-25.

Limits

Rules, registers and web addresses change, and we can make mistakes. Nothing here is medical advice. Talk to a doctor at home and confirm with the official source before you book.
